Actress Mawar de Jongh once again demonstrates her commitment to acting. This time, she takes on a big challenge by portraying the character Sheila, a fighter against ovarian cancer, in her latest film titled UNTIL YOUR LAST POINT. To bring this character to life, Mawar is willing to appear bald.

This transformation process is certainly not easy. Mawar revealed that it takes quite a while, around three hours, just to create the bald effect makeup on her head.

"Our shooting time was about 3 hours for the bald makeup process," said Mawar de Jongh when met at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday, (11/4/2025).

More than just technical, this new appearance also has a profound emotional impact on her. When she first saw herself without hair, Mawar admitted that she felt shocked and sad.

She tried to imagine how cancer fighters feel when they have to lose their hair.

"At first, when I saw myself bald, honestly I felt like, 'Wow, this is how it feels if one day my hair is gone and I don't know if it will come back or not.' And it actually feels really sad," she explained.

This experience helped her to delve deeper into Sheila's character. Behind the complicated makeup process, there is a valuable lesson she learned about struggle and loss.

"But that's roughly the secret behind her makeup," she concluded.

The film UNTIL YOUR LAST POINT is an adaptation of the inspiring true love story between Albi and the late Sheila. This film not only highlights the romantic side but also their struggles in facing illness.
