After Being Left by Her Ex-Husband, Mawar AFI Reported to the Police for Allegedly Defaming Good Name

The public is outraged because shortly after their divorce was approved by the Depok Religious Court, Steno decided to remarry. The woman he married is said to have been a babysitter and lived in Steno's house while he was still married to Mawar.

1. No Other Choice

The latest development comes from Mawar Dhimas, who was reported to the Metro Depok Police on Thursday (24/2/2022). Mawar was reported by Bimo Suryo Hardjanto, the legal team of Steno Ricardo, as the defendant's statement was deemed to have defamed his profession as a legal representative.

"We deeply regret Mawar's attitude, who in his statements often links his accusations to us. In the end, we have no other choice but to take legal action to protect the reputation and honor of our profession," wrote the official statement from Steno's legal team, received by the media on Friday (25/2/2022).

2. Not Accepting the Association

Bimo Suryo Hardjanto revealed that initially, he did not want to bring the issue to the legal realm. However, due to Mawar Dhimas' lack of good intentions, he and his team were forced to do so.

"We do not accept being associated and considered as 'fabricating' the trial. Considering the recent developments, where Mawar has not corrected his statement, and considering the growing public opinion, we have ultimately decided to report Mawar to the police," stated the statement.

3. Not Carrying the Name of Steno Ricardo

Bimo Suryo Hardjanto once again emphasizes that his report is purely as a legal representative. Not representing Steno Ricardo as the client being defended.

"It should be noted that this reporting action is done purely on our behalf, not representing our client Steno Ricardo. We have no personal issues with Mawar and have never interacted with her. We have no interest whatsoever in getting involved in her household affairs with Steno Ricardo," the statement concluded.

4. Chronology of the Report

The problem started last Monday (21/2/2022) when Mawar Dhimas Febra made an Instagram Story. In that Story post, Mawar accused Steno Ricardo's legal team of fabricating evidence of infidelity.

Not stopping there, Mawar also stated that the divorce decision was made unilaterally and forced the signing of a letter of admission of infidelity, which was then disseminated to the public. As a result, the mother of three was reported for defamation on social media.
