Before holding the marriage contract that will take place this afternoon, Wednesday, (7/5), Luna Maya and Maxime Bouttier conducted a melukat ceremony. This ceremony aims to purify the soul and body of a person, which is usually held by the Balinese Hindu community.

Although conducted by the Balinese Hindu community, melukat can be performed by anyone, regardless of ethnicity and religion. Asri Welas captured the moment of Luna performing melukat with a batik cloth specially made for this occasion.

Luna Maya and Maxime Bouttier held a melukat ceremony today, Wednesday, (7/5) in Bali. The moment of Luna performing the melukat was captured by Asri Welas, who is the initiator of Denyut Semesta, the maker of the batik cloth used by Luna and Maxime.

Not only did Asri create special fabric for Luna, but she also accompanied Luna during the melukat ceremony. Rain soaked the venue of Luna and Max's melukat, which according to the Balinese people is a sign of good fortune.

This is the fabric worn by Luna, adorned with a painting made by her late father, Uut Sugeng. This image created by Uut depicts Luna when she was still a child.

As for Maxime's fabric, it features a photo of his late mother. This photo was taken by Luna from Maxime's Instagram page and was specially made by Denyut Semesta for this couple.

Luna and Maxime are undergoing a melukat ceremony, which is a spiritual cleansing ritual for the mind and soul within a person. Before they hold their wedding ceremony this afternoon in Ubud, Luna and Max are purifying their souls and bodies.

The special cloth made for Luna uses recycled materials, with eco-friendly dyes and is painted using batik techniques. Luna and Maxime are very happy to see the results of this special cloth made for them.

The wedding ceremony of Luna and Maxime will be held this afternoon in Ubud, Bali. Only special invited guests can attend the event, but Luna will broadcast the entire series of events live through her YouTube channel.
