Singer Mahalini Raharja faced backlash from netizens for being seen as unable to calm her child, Selina, who was crying during Putri Delina's birthday. Sule responded regarding the news.

In the viral video, Mahalini is seen handing her child to a caregiver after failing to calm the baby, which led to harsh criticism accusing her of being unable to take care of her child.

Not staying silent, Sule defended Mahalini by explaining the actual situation. He stated that at that time Selina was crying and Mahalini handed the child to the caregiver first because Sule had just finished smoking, so he did not immediately take the child.

"Yesterday when I was writing (on his channel) he was laughing with the person next to me. So listen up, netizens, I’m not defending but the situation was right before the photo was taken, and Selina was crying so I immediately came over to take her," Sule said on Rumpi No Secret, as seen on the TRANS TV Official YouTube channel, on Tuesday (6/5/2025).

"So because he knew I had just smoked, he didn’t give it to me when I asked. You know, a grandfather wants to try to calm his crying grandchild, so he gave it to the caregiver first and then to me, and I was given a cloth to cover my clothes from the smell of smoke," he added.

Mahalini herself expressed her frustration over the negative comments and justified her decision not to publish her child's face to avoid interference from netizens. She feels that this decision is right to protect privacy.

Sule stated that there is nothing wrong with Mahalini. He also explained that the daughter-in-law is relaxed about the negative comments directed at her.

"Ah Lini is just chill, she and we know that netizens are like that. The video that was uploaded and bullied was edited. Well, it's normal for women to get upset, especially a new mother. But she's relaxed, right? Netizens don’t live with us," said Sule.
