Baim Wong Denies Spreading Recordings of Argument with Paula Verhoeven Until Bribing the Trial Judge

A recording of a conversation between Baim Wong and his wife, Paula Verhoeven, has gone viral on social media recently. In the recording, there is an argument between the two, and Baim Wong pronounces divorce to Paula.

Additionally, Baim Wong revealed a chat between Paula and a man named Nico Surya, who is suspected to be her affair. Netizens speculated that Baim Wong was the one who spread the audio recording. However, Baim Wong denied the accusation. He claimed he did not know how the recording could have been leaked.

"I had no involvement at all. If I wanted to be honest, I could have released that recording during the trial, so all the blame would come to me," said Baim Wong in an interview.

"But Alhamdulillah I did not do it, because I want to resolve this issue in court," he continued.

Baim Wong feels disappointed about the release of the recording. He worked hard to keep the recording from coming out, but he actually feels sorry for Paula.

"It's not that I'm happy the recording came out. I'm actually sad. Why? Because I have been holding it in for a long time. I actually feel sorry for Paula too, but I don't know how it got out, I'm also confused," said Baim Wong.

He also emphasized that there was no bribery with the judge. Baim feels calm because he believes he did not do such a thing.

"There is no bribery or payments to the judge. Everything that happened, Alhamdulillah I am calm because I did nothing," concluded Baim Wong.

The marriage of Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven officially ended on Wednesday, April 16, 2025. Their marriage began on November 22, 2018, and has produced two children.
