Ajil Ditto's Story of Injuring Himself While Filming the Movie 'BELIEVE', Admits It's Very Painful But Has to Continue

Ajil Ditto always gives his all as an actor. He plays the lead role in the movie BELIEVE. Ajil reveals the physical challenges he faced during filming. At the launch of the trailer and poster of the film in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (3/6/2025), Ajil shared unforgettable experiences when he had to perform heavy scenes.

"I was really exhausted, I swear. I don't mean it in a negative way, but it was exhausting and I really appreciate the hard work of the soldiers too. Just a month and a half felt like I was going to die," said Ajil Ditto.

Ajil admitted that he had to undergo physical preparation for about 40 days to delve into his role as a soldier named Agus. He trained in diet, fight choreography, and even how to walk and hold weapons like a real soldier.   "For physical preparation, starting from diet, choreography. Fighting also includes behavior in holding weapons and the way a soldier steps, it took 40 days," Ajil revealed.

However, not everything went smoothly. In one scene, Ajil suffered a quite serious injury. He experienced pain in his lower back and groin due to insufficient warm-up before shooting a scene in the bushes.

"In the end, it felt like a sharp pain initially in the right side of my lower back, the right groin was really painful. But we hadn't even started the fighting scene yet," he said.

Although he suffered an injury since the morning, Ajil still had to continue filming on the same day. Fortunately, his spirit and adrenaline allowed him to complete the scenes without much complaining.

"Yes, it hurts, but while shooting, I don't know, maybe it's the adrenaline. So I don't feel the pain anymore, even though it still hurts during the shoot. It's a bit crampy haha," he said while laughing.

Maudy Koesnaedi, who also stars in this film, admitted to being impressed by Ajil's dedication. She even mentioned that the struggle of the young actors is very tough, not only physically but also mentally.

"I really heard that Ajil jumped two meters from the helicopter, and they showed me the photos. Oh, is this kid okay during the shoot with me?" said Maudy.

Film Believe is based on the true story of Agus, a young man who participated in Operation Seroja and the war in East Timor. This film will be released in cinemas across Indonesia starting July 24, 2025.
