"We don't (use a baby sitter). Alyssa doesn't want to use one. So that we can bond," said Al Ghazali when met at JWCC Asih Hospital, South Jakarta, Wednesday (13/5/2026).

To support his wife's decision, Al Ghazali has prepared a strategy for parenting. He will share duties with Alyssa, especially in taking care of the baby at night.

"Oh, coincidentally, I also like staying up late, so I will take advantage of that. So maybe it will be shifts. Morning to afternoon (Alyssa), I’ll take the night shift," said Al.

Nevertheless, Al realizes that the real challenge will only be felt when they return home. While in the hospital, they felt supported because there were still medical staff accompanying them.

Al has started to feel how heavy the struggle is to accompany his wife during childbirth, and now he has to be on standby at all times. He admits that he often wakes up when he hears his baby crying.

"Yes, sleep and then wake up in the morning crying. If here it's nice, there are still many people helping. Now going home, that's the real struggle," he concluded.
