Adira's wedding day made Aldi very emotional. He couldn't hold back his tears on the day of his daughter's wedding to a man named Adrian.
Through a post on Instagram, Aldi expressed his feelings during Adira's wedding. He reminisced about the time when Adira was still a child and never wanted to be far from him.
"Dira, when friends ask how it feels to let Dira go to get married… suddenly everything seems to turn back… feeling again the moment I carried Dira when she was born… at that time, I could only pray that Dira grows up to be a beautiful child who always loves her Father… Dira has never been 'far away' from Dad… all her life she always wanted to be hugged by Dad before sleeping… The journey of Dira and Dad together has many beautiful moments," wrote Aldi.
"Fast Forward… to yesterday… Dad took Dira to the future with Adrian… Dira is no longer the Dira who used to fall asleep in the car, never wanting to get out unless Dad carried her to her room… Dira now has to focus on loving Adrian… Dreaming together… Fighting together…," Aldi's message to Adira.
At the end of his writing, Aldi apologized if he had not been a perfect father to Dira all this time. "Dad apologizes for my shortcomings in the journey of raising Dira… If someday Dira looks for Dad… Dad's arms will always be open to hug Dira," wrote Aldi.
At Adira's wedding, Aldi performed a duet of the song Memandangmu with Ikke Nurjanah. This song was also a request from Adira, who wanted to commemorate her parents' love song.
