All Files Have Been Collected at the Prosecutor's Office, Rachel Vennya's First Trial is Ready to be Held

Kapanlagi.com - Tangerang District Court has scheduled the first trial for the alleged violation of health quarantine committed by celebrity influencer Rachel Vennya along with her boyfriend, Salim Nauderer, and her manager, Maulida Khairunnia.

Arif Budy Cahyono, the spokesperson for Tangerang District Court, revealed that the first trial of Rachel Vennya's case will be held on December 10, 2021, possibly after Friday prayers.

"It is likely that we will hold the trial on Friday, (December 10, 2021). As for the exact time, it is likely to be after Friday prayers," said Arif Budi Cahyono, the spokesperson for Tangerang District Court, at his office on Wednesday (8/22/2021).

In this case, Arif stated that the trial is likely to last only one day. The Public Prosecutor deemed the case to be relatively minor.

"The Prosecutor is requesting a short criminal procedure. (The verdict) could be on the same day because with a short criminal procedure, it means that the Prosecutor considers this event to have simple and easy evidence," he explained.

In the case, Arif said that the hearing is likely to only last for one day. Because the Public Prosecutor considers the case to be relatively light. Arif also mentioned that this hearing will be held openly for the public.

"The Prosecutor filed for a summary offense. (The verdict) can be on the same day because with a summary offense, it means that the prosecutor views this event as simple and easy to prove," he said.

"The witnesses and defendants must attend, otherwise they can be forcibly summoned. What is clear is that the panel of judges has determined the hearing date and ordered the public prosecutor to bring the defendant and witnesses," he continued.

2. Violating the Health Quarantine Law

As known, Rachel Venya, Salim Nauderee, and Maulida Khairunnia escaped from Wisma Atlet because they did not want to complete the quarantine period after returning from the United States.

The three of them have been designated as suspects by the Jakarta Metropolitan Police for allegedly violating Article 93 of Law Number 6 of 2018 concerning Health Quarantine and/or Article 14 of Law Number 4 of 1984 concerning disease outbreaks.

Instagram influencer Rachel Vennya's status has officially become a suspect in connection with quarantine violation cases. In addition to her ex-husband Nikko Al Hakim, there are 3 other people who have also been designated as suspects: her boyfriend Salim Nauderer, her manager Maulina Khairunisa, and one other person who helped them escape.

General Crime Detective, Commissioner Pol Tubagus Ade Hidayat, stated that the police have collected 4 pieces of evidence related to Rachel Vennya's case.

"Consisting of witness statements, expert statements, evidence clues, and document statements. Everything is proven here, which is why we designate the person as a suspect," Tubagus concluded.

4. Declared as a Suspect

Previously, investigators have declared Rachel Vennya, Salim Nauderer, and Maulida as suspects. Not only that, airport officials involved have also been declared as suspects. However, regarding this matter, Rachel Vennya has not been detained and there is also no obligation to report.

"There are actually no regulations. Detention is based on subjective reasons, as long as she has been cooperative and there are no problems. She has been examined and there are no issues," he concluded.

5. Escaping Quarantine

As previously known, Rachel Vennya violated health protocols by escaping from Wisma Atlet. After returning from America, she should have undergone quarantine, but she only did it for 3 days.

Not only that, she also went on vacation to Bali with her family and friends. And she also celebrated her birthday at home with her family.
