Almost Celebrating Birthday with the 75th Indonesian Independence Day, Ruben Onsu Holds Cracker Eating Competition

Kapanlagi.com - Presenter Ruben Onsu just celebrated his 37th birthday on August 15th. To celebrate his birthday, this father of three held a simple event with his family, coworkers, and close friends at a villa in Sukabumi, West Java.

Coincidentally, Ruben Onsu's birthday is almost the same as the Indonesian Independence Day, which falls on August 17th. In addition to the celebration, Ruben Onsu also held a competition that was participated by his family, coworkers, and close friends.

1. Eating Crackers Competition

"17th competition on Sundays. I want to participate in eating crackers competition. I also want to participate in sack race and marbles competition, remembering the competitions in the past," said Ruben Onsu on Trans TV, South Jakarta, Tuesday (17/8/2020).

2. Not Inviting Many People

On his birthday this time, Ruben Onsu only invited close people. The reason is that he doesn't want to hold an event that invites many people due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation. In this event, Ruben also said that everyone who participated in the celebration is truly healthy and follows health protocols.

3. Follow the Protocol

"Of course, we also have to follow the health protocol. That's why I didn't invite others, I only invited those who I often meet. Friends and colleagues, that's it," said Ruben.

"So I don't dare to open or invite other guests. Not yet, in this situation, I pray and be grateful, which is more important than any kind of celebration," Ruben continued.

4. Already Together

Later, after holding an event at the villa, Ruben Onsu admitted that he would not hold a birthday celebration event again at home or elsewhere.

"No, yesterday was already together. Mostly just eating, it was already together," Ruben concluded.
