Regarding this matter, Kimberly Ryder, when met at the Central Jakarta Religious Court on Wednesday (24/7), spoke up. She denied rumors about the reasons for filing for divorce against Edward Akbar.
"No, I don’t think so. As far as I know, there has been no infidelity from either side. It seems unnecessary to discuss it," said Kimberly Ryder.

On the same occasion, Machi Ahmad, Kimberly's legal counsel, confirmed that indeed, for several months now, his client has been living separately from her husband. Kimberly also did not deny this.
"Clearly, the plaintiff has stated that there is a separation, right?" said Machi Achmad.
"It has indeed been several months since we lived together," added Kimberly Ryder.

When asked further, unfortunately, Kimberly's side is still reluctant to disclose the exact cause of the divorce. However, they stated that Edward Akbar has indeed pronounced talak three times against Kimberly Ryder.
"Well, we can't answer that yet. This is still mediation, and we have already outlined in our lawsuit the reasons for the divorce. Please don't speculate just yet. Because according to religious law, talak has already been pronounced 3 times," explained Machi Ahmad.
"We have the evidence, and we even have a video of the talak being pronounced. So it's not that our client does not want to maintain the marriage, but because according to religious law, there is already a matter regarding this," he concluded.
