Ammar Zoni Clarification Regarding Request for Noodles, Presents Witness

Kapanlagi.com - The continuation of the drug case trial of Ammar Zoni was held again at the Central Jakarta District Court with the agenda of examining mitigating witnesses. However, Ammar Zoni immediately provided clarification regarding the matter. He denied that his colleague's testimony was considered detrimental or indicated negative behavior. According to him, it was a very normal interaction in life inside the correctional institution.

"No, it’s not a blunder, it’s just tense actually. Yes, that’s normal, right? We call it this, asking for help to make noodles and all that, that’s normal," said Ammar Zoni after the hearing, Thursday (22/1/2026).

2. Efforts to Clear from Drug Trafficking Charges

This trial is part of the legal team's efforts to free Ammar from the allegations of involvement in drug trafficking. The legal team plans to present more witnesses at the next agenda, including expert witnesses relevant to this case.

"And I also hope from my legal counsel, Uncle John, Mrs. Detta, and Mr. Wilman, to fight hard to prove, you know. And later there will be more witnesses, more mitigating witnesses, right Uncle? Fact witnesses and expert witnesses, right Uncle?" said Ammar Zoni.

4. Hoping to Transfer Detention Place

One strong reason Ammar wants to prove that he is not involved in drug trafficking is so that he does not face the harsher penalty of being transferred to a more severe detention facility. He hopes to remain in his current detention center until his sentence is completed.

"And we hope that all of this can also open up so that I am not transferred back to NK (Nusakambangan) you know. To show that I am not involved in anything here," said Ammar Zoni.

He also asked for prayers from supporters and the media crew so that his request regarding the CCTV evidence could be granted by the judge. Ammar is confident that this evidence will clarify his position in this case.

"So we are asking for help maybe later with the media, friends from the media and all netizens to push for the CCTV to be presented," concluded Ammar Zoni.
