Acting Head of Intelligence at the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office, Agung, revealed the articles that will be charged against Ammar Zoni. The charges stem from the Narcotics Law with very serious criminal threats.

"The articles charged are Article 112 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 of the Narcotics Law, Article 114 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 132 of the Narcotics Law," Agung stated when met at the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday (10/9/2025).

With these articles, Ammar Zoni faces a minimum prison sentence of 5 years up to the heaviest penalty, which is the death penalty. This punishment will be adjusted according to the role of each of the six suspects involved. "The threat for one is a minimum of 5 years, for another a minimum of 6 years, with a maximum of 20 years, life imprisonment, or death," Agung emphasized.

Ammar's status as a convict at the time of committing this crime is certainly going to be a factor that aggravates his sentence. This will be the main consideration for the public prosecutor in formulating their charges in the upcoming trial.

"While the article that will be charged is like that, but we will see if there are any conditions or factors that will aggravate the case of AZ, as we all know he is a convict. We will see how far it goes, but it will definitely be something that may aggravate," he explained.
