Ammar Zoni is back in the spotlight after being reported to be dealing with the law again concerning a drug case. The actor, who has previously been caught three times for similar cases, is suspected of being involved in the distribution of narcotics from within the Salemba detention center.

The first case of Ammar Zoni occurred in 2017 when he was arrested for drug abuse. In his confession, the actor admitted to using the illegal substance to help him rest.

As a result of his case, Ammar Zoni felt depressed and ashamed of himself. The case caused him to lose several jobs in the entertainment industry.

However, in March 2023, Ammar Zoni was again apprehended by the police in a drug case. Based on the investigation, he asked his personal driver to buy methamphetamine. The police then arrested him along with the evidence found at the location.

At that time, Ammar Zoni was already married to Irish Bella and a father of two children. This case once again disappointed the public as he had previously stated that he had quit the dark world of drugs.

Not even two months after his release, Ammar Zoni was arrested by the police again in December 2023. During the arrest, the police found evidence in the form of methamphetamine and marijuana as well as consumption tools, and others.

From the trial process that took place, Ammar Zoni was sentenced to 4 years in prison, lighter than the Public Prosecutor's previous demand of 12 years in prison. At that time, he apologized to his family and close ones after being involved in the same case again.

The latest case occurred in early October 2025. According to an official report from the Central Jakarta District Attorney's Office, investigators from the Cempaka Putih Police Station submitted the second stage (suspect and evidence) under the name MAA alias AZ, who is known to be Ammar Zoni.

In the investigation, Ammar is suspected of being involved in the circulation of narcotics from within the Salemba Detention Center. The evidence secured includes methamphetamine and synthetic marijuana (sinte). This case puts the actor at risk of facing PRIMARY criminal charges under Article 114 Paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 Paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and SECONDARY charges under Article 112 Paragraph (2) Jo Article 132 Paragraph (1) of Law No. 35 of 2009 on Narcotics.
