Ammar Zoni Maintains Friendship with Irish Bella and Haldy Sabri

"And now she has her husband and I support that too, you know. And it doesn't mean that I am cutting off ties or anything with her because, after all, my children are involved. It can't be like that," said Ammar Zoni when met at the Central Jakarta District Court on Thursday (9/4/2026).

Ammar realizes that a good relationship is very necessary because of the children from his previous marriage. He does not want the legal defense he has prepared to be seen as an attempt to disrupt the atmosphere or disturb the tranquility of his ex-wife's household.

For him, the contents of the plea are just a recording of the historical facts from the life journey he has gone through. He apologizes if his openness in court makes others feel uncomfortable or offended.

"And here, no one wants to intervene in the plea that I made. However, if the other party feels disturbed or feels intervened, then I apologize. But once again, I say there is no intention behind it. You know," Ammar explained in a calm tone.

Furthermore, Ammar explained that the plea was actually prepared specifically for consideration by the judges, not to provoke a commotion in public. However, his status as an artist makes every step he takes in court big news.

"And my plea is also not merely for public consumption, actually, in the sense that it is intended for the judges. But basically, because I am a public figure, it ends up being news everywhere, you know," he stated.

He hopes that the public and Irish Bella's family can understand his position, which is currently fighting for justice amid a nine-year prison sentence. Ammar reiterated that honesty in court is his right as a defendant.

"What I talked about is in accordance with what happened at that time. I have mentioned from the beginning that my life journey is like that. I made my plea without offending anyone," he concluded.
