It's Happening! The Changcuters Ready to 'Hijrah to London' in June 2026

The band from Bandung, The Changcuters, has just brought some proud news. After 20 years of singing the song Hijrah Ke London, Tria, Qibil, Dipa, Erick, and Alda will finally fly to England to hold a professional tour.

This is not just a vacation, but a musical mission they have long dreamed of. This grand plan is scheduled to visit three major cities in the United Kingdom. Here are the details.

This achievement feels very fitting as it coincides with the momentum of two decades of their hit song. Thorough preparations have been made by the management team to ensure their performance remains top-notch in front of an international audience.

"Yes, if we go to London for vacation, we can do that, but we actually want to perform there. There was a conversation about this during our band journey. Oh, it seems fitting that we go there for our 20th anniversary," said Dipa when met in the Panglima Polim area, South Jakarta, Wednesday (4/8/2026).

This tour will start in Newcastle, then continue to Edinburgh, and end sweetly in London. Tria, the vocalist, revealed that this plan has actually been in the works since the end of last year. He feels that 2026 is the perfect time to realize their college dreams.

"Ah, I’ve tried to figure out how I can perform there. Because before, we were just talking, like, we don’t need to go to London for vacation, our first time in London should be to perform there," said Tria.

In addition to a packed schedule, The Changcuters also pay great attention to the technical details of their departure. Given the dynamic geopolitical conditions, they have chosen the flight route that is considered the safest to arrive at their destination on time on April 12.

"Coincidentally, our flight has a layover in Doha, and God willing, it will be safe to get there (England)," Dipa added.

This tour is proof that a band's consistency in creating can take them flying far beyond national borders. The members also hope that this journey goes smoothly without significant obstacles from either technical issues or global situations. "We're really departing this time," Qibil replied.
