Andrew Susanto Holds Free Heart Screening in Surabaya to Raise Public Health Awareness

As is known, heart attacks are one of the leading causes of death worldwide, often referred to as a silent killer due to symptoms that often come on suddenly.

Andrew is well aware that heart disease encompasses various conditions, such as coronary heart disease, heart failure, arrhythmia, heart attacks, cardiac arrest, and congenital heart disease.

1. Free Heart Screening Program

On Saturday (22/2), Andrew and his team held a free heart screening program in Surabaya, East Java.

"This mass heart screening activity is part of efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining health, especially heart health, including early detection," said Andrew Susanto.

The medical check-up and mass heart screening are expected to encourage the community to be more aware of the importance of maintaining health, thus serving as early prevention of various diseases.

2. 50 Residents Undergo General Health Check

The medical check-up and mass heart screening activities are part of the corporate social responsibility program of Holywings Peduli, targeting residents around the Ambyar Superclub Basra outlet in Surabaya, East Java.

"Previously, 50 residents underwent a general health check including blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure, and uric acid. Residents also consulted with medical staff from RS Siloam Surabaya. The examinations were conducted accurately," he explained.

3. About Heart Health

After that, residents underwent heart health examinations, specifically an electrocardiogram (ECG) test. Electrodes were attached to the patient's chest, connected to the electrocardiogram machine. This test can monitor the electrical activity of the heart muscles in the form of graphs or waves and shows whether the patient's heart rhythm is normal, slow, fast, or irregular.

The ECG is a non-invasive examination that visualizes the electrical signals of the heart. Additionally, there was a seminar with Dr. Frisca Fintania, SpGK from Siloam Hospital Surabaya.

"This seminar raised important topics about heart health starting with what heart disease is, balanced nutrition for heart health, and healthy lifestyles to avoid heart disease," concluded Andrew Susanto.
