Anji Admits Buying Marijuana via Instagram DM during Drug Case Hearing

Kapanlagi.com - Musician Erdian Aji Prihartanto, better known as Anji, attended a drug abuse case hearing at the West Jakarta District Court on Wednesday (29/9).

Anji, who is currently undergoing rehabilitation at RSKO Cibubur, appeared via virtual zoom. He claimed to be in good health and his physical condition has improved significantly.

“Alhamdulillah, I am in good health. Much better now. I have been learning about addiction treatment and my psychological condition,” said Anji.

During the hearing, Anji answered several questions from the Public Prosecutor (JPU), including how he obtained the illegal substance.

The singer of the song 'Dia' revealed that he bought marijuana through direct messages (DM) on Instagram.

“I do use marijuana myself. I obtained it from someone I contacted via DM on Instagram,” he explained.

However, Anji admitted that he does not know who the marijuana seller is. He also has no knowledge of their current whereabouts.

"Yes, I don't know him," said Anji.

In addition, a witness from the public prosecutor's office, Heru Haryanto, a member of the Narcotics Unit of West Jakarta Metropolitan Police who arrested Anji at his music studio in the Cibubur area, East Jakarta last June, was also presented.

According to the witness's statement, during the search, Anji was very cooperative and showed his own evidence.

"Brother Anji was very cooperative. He also showed the evidence. The marijuana was only used by himself and not sold," explained Heru Haryanto.

Regarding Heru's statement, Anji did not deny it. The next hearing will be held next week with the agenda of the prosecution.

"God willing, next week, if there are no obstacles, we will have the prosecution agenda. As for the length of the sentence, we will first consider the results of this trial," concluded Alif Maruszama, the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
