Anji Manji's Child Witnessed the Death of Siti Sundari

The passing of Siti Sundari had a significant emotional impact on her grandson, Saga. The child of Anji Manji was known to have witnessed the moment when his grandmother took her last breath until the funeral procession was over.

This was Saga's first experience in dealing with the loss of a loved one. Anji recounted that when he received the news that his mother did not want to wake up, he was with Saga recording a song.

Saga followed his father in panic while heading to his grandmother's house. "Saga is following the process, right? So, when Mama told me, 'Mama doesn't want to wake up,' I was recording with Saga at home," said Anji.

"I was in the middle of taking (recording) Saga's new song. And that's why I ran away, Saga followed, 'Manji, why? Uti, why?'. And that was the first time he saw the process of loss like that," Anji Manji revealed when met at TPU Mangun Jaya, Bekasi Timur, West Java, Friday (27/3/2026).

There is one fact that makes the relationship between the late Anji and Saga feel very special. The three of them share the same birthday, so every year they celebrate their birthdays together at the same time.

"And one thing, not a fun fact, but a sad fact, that Mama, Anji, and Saga all share the same birthday. And every year we always celebrate together," said Anji.

Anji also tried to provide support to his son to remain strong in facing this bitter reality. He explained to Saga that one day everyone will experience the same thing, including himself.

"Saga is cool, right? He is cool. Manji doesn't know about his heart, but he means to be stronger. But he is recording, he is recording and he also said that he feels sad," said Anji.

"He should learn something, I mean I also said that this will definitely happen. And I also said, 'Later Manji will also be like this'," concluded Anji.
