Kapanlagi.com - Although usually only holding shows underground, Indonesia Funny Assembly (MLI) finally emerged and will perform in public. This was initially known from a post on the internet about Holly Wings who will hold an event featuring comedians from Indonesia Funny Assembly.

This news was finally confirmed by Gian Luigi as the Chief Marketing Officer of MLI when contacted by Kapanlagi.com via telephone, Friday (11/2). Gian said the collaboration with one of the well-known entertainment venues for young people in Jakarta is very suitable for the show from Indonesia Funny Assembly.

"So it's been a month ago that MLI has prepared a conversation with Holly Wings to create a comedy event and we will start in Jakarta. This is different from other events because we will combine comedy and music in one event," said Gian Luigi.

"Very suitable. Because we know Holly Wings has the same brand as MLI, almost capitalist too because everything is handled by HW, just like MLI, so this can be said to be a big collaboration at the beginning of the year, this is a capitalist collaboration we work on with two different forces, one comedy and one in the entertainment venue for young people," he added.

1. Great Collaboration

Gian said this is one of the steps for MLI to expand its wings in the entertainment world of the homeland. This collaboration is also one way for MLI to reach a wider audience.

"This includes how MLI expands its industry and MLI's audience grows because it's not just comedy enthusiasts anymore. We want the HW era to know MLI and the MLI era that rarely or never hangs out in HW to hang out," he said.

2. The Beginning of Collaboration

Gian also explained how the collaboration between the Indonesian Funny Assembly and Holly Wings started. He mentioned that this collaboration had been planned for a long time, but only reached an agreement in 2022.

"We have sealed the deal, we will collaborate and this is long-term. Starting this month, on February 21, 2022, at HW (Holly Wings Mega Kuningan, Jakarta) at 8:00 PM with McDanny as the host," said Gian Luigi.

"So initially, this was the result of HW's creative team watching MLI and we were also very impressed with HW's marketing 'should we collaborate?' It happened to be a long-standing context and the collaboration was achieved this year," he added.

3. Material Without Sensor

In addition, Gian also emphasized that there are no limits for MLI comedians to perform uncensored material at Holly Wings. In the future, MLI comedians will still perform stand-up material without any sensor according to the characteristic of Majelis Lucu Indonesia.

"There are no limits. We will still be like MLI in general. Still with uncensored material and no limits. The limits depend on how people judge it," he said.

4. Immoral Jokes

In addition, Gian said that there will be different themes for each show every week, and MLI will deploy all of its best comedians to provide 'Immoral Jokes' for the audience. Furthermore, MLI plans not only to perform at Holly Wings Jakarta, but also at all branches of Holly Wings in Indonesia.

"Almost all (comedians) because this is regular, they will all perform there every week. Not only in Jakarta but also in Surabaya, and if everything goes well, it can be brought to HW Bandung, Jogja, even maybe HW throughout Indonesia will have comedy events every Monday," he said.

5. Naughty and Brutal Comedy

Considering that MLI always holds shows 'underground', the selection of material for each comedian who will perform becomes a question. However, Gian asserts that MLI comedians will still perform with various naughty and brutal comedy material as usual.

"The material will not change, in fact, this entertainment venue should have no limits, the material remains naughty, brutal," he concluded.
