Arafah Rianti Clarifies About Dispute with Neighbor, Says It Was Just a Misunderstanding About Parking

In her post, Arafah revealed that she had a dispute with a neighbor, which was allegedly triggered by a parking issue involving one of her cars on the street in front of her house. This conflict ended up sparking widespread discussions on social media, prompting Arafah to feel the need to clarify.

According to Arafah, the incident was merely a matter of miscommunication. In an interview, she stated that the issue had been resolved amicably.

"It was actually just a communication error, so everything is fine. I talked to them nicely just yesterday. So it's all good, neighbors are like family to us, they are really close to us," said Arafah Rianti in the Tendean area of South Jakarta, Friday (11/8/2024).

Arafah added that the situation had escalated due to less-than-ideal circumstances at the time. "So yesterday, it was really heated, meeting heat with heat, it was like a fire. But now everything is really okay," said Arafah Rianti.

1. Arafah Explains the Question of Parking

However, amidst the problem, many netizens commented, suggesting that Arafah should have a dedicated parking area for his vehicles. He responded to that suggestion.

"Like people say, ‘Yeah, you should have a garage or something, parking on the street is not allowed’. That’s really not allowed. But that’s just a cluster, a very small cluster. If everyone wants to park in front of the street, that’s fine, as long as it doesn’t block the road," he explained.

2. Relationship with Neighbors Always Good

Arafah continued that his residential area has a dead end and is not a public road frequently used by other vehicles. He also emphasized that during the two years living there, his relationship with his neighbors has always been good.

"It’s not a public road; it’s indeed a dead end. We’ve been neighbors for two years, and I know my neighbors are all nice. There’s no one annoying, it’s all good. So yesterday during the mediation, well, there’s nothing wrong, nothing right," he stated.

3. Arafah's Solution

In her clarification, Arafah also mentioned that this incident was just a matter of a misunderstanding that escalated. For her, this is an important lesson in maintaining communication with neighbors.

"Well, what can I do, it was getting heated and I was scared too. I mean, I’m a girl, it was 11 PM. Because we live in a cluster and we want to stay long," said Arafah.

As a solution, Arafah decided to move one of her cars to her other house to avoid similar issues in the future. "I put (the car) at my house in Depok," concluded Arafah Rianti.
