Arafah Rianti Tells Her Experience Celebrating Eid at Wisma Atlet

Kapanlagi.com - A few days before Eid, Comedian Arafah Rianti and her friend, singer Fatin Shidqia Lubis, tested positive for Covid-19. She expressed sadness because this year she couldn't celebrate Eid with her beloved family.

“It's sad because we've been working and following health protocols. Not being able to celebrate Eid with my family is really sad, but I have to put aside my ego because if I still celebrate with my family, I might infect everyone. Maybe I forgot to rest enough yesterday, so now I think I need to rest first,” said Arafah Rianti during a virtual interview on Sunday (16/5).

He also shared his experience celebrating Eid at Wisma Atlet. One of them is eating ketupat with other patients.

“The Eid celebration only lasts until 9 o'clock at Wisma Atlet, the rest is sleeping and video calling in the morning at 8 o'clock. Yes, there are more ketupat here, it seems like all my friends and their families brought ketupat, so I feel nauseous, my stomach is full of coconut milk, my head is spinning,” he said.

2. Many New Friends

Although she couldn't be with her family during the moment of Eid al-Fitr, Arafah Rianti is grateful because she can meet many new friends at Wisma Atlet. She continues to live her days with a positive mindset.

“I have many friends here, there are 20 people, it makes me happy, it's okay not to be with family as long as my family is healthy and I am safe and comfortable here. The children have positive vibes, I have many friends here, at home all my friends are busy. Here, everyone is idle, no one is thinking about work,” she said.

She also said that her condition is now better. If tomorrow's swab result is negative, Arafah Rianti will be allowed to go home. "It's been 9 days, tomorrow is the swab, so if it's negative, I can go home, but if it's positive, I can still go home if the CT is high because it's no longer contagious," said Arafah Rianti.
