Musician and actor Ardhito Rifqi Pramono once again showcases his acting skills in the latest film project by MVP Pictures. The 31-year-old man is cast as the lead in the horror-comedy film titled GUDANG MERICA. Ardhito’s appearance this time is quite different and far from the cool image that has been attached to him.

In this film, Ardhito plays a character named Razi, a medical student or intern who is undergoing field practice. The character Razi is depicted as a very naive young man, who does not have many friends, but has a very high level of devotion to his parents.

"Hello friends, hello to all media friends, and influencer friends. I am Ardhito Pramono playing Razi in the film 'Gudang Merica'. Here, Razi's character is one who wants to learn and is indeed interesting because he is a naive character and doesn't have many friends, but he is very devoted to his parents," said Ardhito Pramono when met in the Senayan area, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (15/4/2026).

He explained that this character demands him to step out of his comfort zone, especially regarding physical appearance and daily demeanor. One of the most striking changes is his hairstyle, which has been changed to a middle part. Ardhito admitted that he was initially shocked when he saw his reflection in the mirror with that hairstyle, but he quickly adapted to immerse himself in the role of Razi, which he considers quite unique.

This father of one also had to change his speaking style, which usually uses a casual tone, to a more formal one. The difference in clothing style and hairstyle was intentionally designed by the director to create the impression that Razi is a young man who is somewhat socially awkward.

"The difference between Razi's character and Ardhito's character is quite far apart, Razi is a bit outdated while Ardhito is pretty cool. Ardhito is really cool, fun. That's Razi, the character development is also very different in style, his hair is also very different," he said.

Although he had to appear in a style that he considers outdated, Ardhito admitted that he really enjoyed the filming process of this movie. For him, the worlds of acting and music have a strong connection, so he feels happy to be able to pursue a career in both fields simultaneously without feeling burdened.

The process of deepening the character Razi provided him with an interesting new experience because he had never played such an innocent role before. Ardhito hopes that the audience can see another side of his acting ability that is more explorative in this horror-comedy genre.

Gudang Merica tells the story of five friends who work as young doctors (interns) who initially intend to focus on learning and working in one place. However, this intention turns into chaos as they face a series of unexpected horror terror, creating situations that make the audience shiver and laugh at the same time. The film is scheduled to be released in theaters across Indonesia in 2026.
