Ari Wibowo Says His Two Children Agreed to Follow Him, Inge Anugrah Continues to Fight for Custody Rights

In fact, the 52-year-old man said that his two children want to follow him if Ari and Inge no longer live together.

"My children are not young, they are not under 5 years old, they are over 12 years old. As far as I know, they can choose who they want to follow. Their voices have been heard and they both want to follow me," said Ari after the trial at the South Jakarta District Court on Monday (29/5/2023).

1. Custody Rights Lawsuit Still Exists

Although outside the trial, the children have already chosen to live with Ari, Ari still filed for custody rights. Moreover, his first child is almost 17 years old and the second child is already growing up.

"But in any case, this is custody rights for children who are already mature, Kenzo is already 15 years old, so he is no longer a child, in 2 years he will have an ID card, can work, considered an adult, can marry, etc., so he is no longer a child," he said.

2. Will Not Hinder Inge

If his two children live with him in the future, Ari emphasized that he will not hinder Inge if she wants to meet them. Moreover, Inge is the mother who gave birth to both of his children.

"But custody rights will not make me close the door for their mother to meet them anytime, anywhere, please meet them, there will be no prohibition, there will be no difficulty for the children to meet their mother or for the mother to meet her children," said Ari.

3. Inge is Trying Regarding Custody Rights

Meanwhile, Inge in a separate location apparently continues to strive for custody of her two children to fall on her. Of course, through her divorce proceedings with Ari.

"This (custody) is what we are fighting for," Inge firmly stated.

"Fought for because there is a legal basis. According to jurisprudence law, when parents divorce, children under the age of 18 are determined by the court to be under the custody of their mother and it is the father's obligation to provide for their living expenses, prepare their home, education, insurance, and health. That's the essence of it," added Petrus Bala Pettyona, Inge's legal representative.
