Arie Untung's Voice Trembles While Calling the Adhan for His Father

Kapanlagi.com - The most touching moment during the funeral of Arie Untung's father occurred when the artist himself called the adhan for his father. Arie admitted that this moment was his way of repaying his father's great contributions during his lifetime.

"This is the person who taught me to call the adhan first. He is the one who taught me to know the world, and now I am teaching him to know the new world," said Arie Untung when met by KapanLagi at TPU Kampung Kandang, South Jakarta, Saturday (18/7/2026).

1. Forms of Devotion for the Late Father

Arie admitted that the moment he performed the call to prayer for his father was one of his last forms of devotion. Although his heart was shattered, he believed that his father's departure was for the best.

"What does it feel like, we tried to show our last devotion before finally parting with him. It feels really devastating, but it is what is best for him," said Arie.

2. Fenita Wants Arie to Let Go Sincerely

Fenita Arie also expressed the message she always conveys to her husband to sincerely let go of his father's departure. She does not want the family to impose their own desires too much.

"Darling, we have to let go of whatever it is, just release it so that Pukung doesn't feel heavy either," said Fenita.

3. Arie Asks for Prayers

On the same occasion, Arie also conveyed his apologies and prayers for his father to anyone who has ever known him. He hopes that his father will have a good ending and be placed in the best place by His side.

"Friends, please pray for me if you have ever known Pukung and if I have ever made mistakes, please forgive me. May he have a good ending, amen, and be placed in paradise with the righteous," said Arie.

As is known, Arie's father, H. Untung Rumekso, passed away at the age of 86 on Saturday (18/7/2026). On the same day, the body of H. Untung Rumekso was buried at TPU Kandang, South Jakarta.
