Ashanty Completes Interviews with Artists for Dissertation, Now Analyzing Data for Qualification Exam

Ashanty interviewed several senior singers as part of her dissertation research. It is known that Ashanty is pursuing a PhD in Human Resource Development at Airlangga University (Unair). She titled her dissertation 'Adaptation Strategies of Baby Boomer and Generation X Singers to Digital Transformation'.

Ashanty conducted in-depth interviews with several singers from various genres. They were chosen because they are considered to fall into the category of informants in her dissertation research.

Several well-known names such as Titi DJ, Rhoma Irama, Vina Panduwinata, Hetty Koes Endang, Camelia Malik, Rafika Duri, Ikang Fawzi, Reza Artamevia, and Mayangsari became Ashanty's informants.

Not to be missed, Kris Dayanti, who is the former wife of her current husband, Anang Hermansyah, was also chosen as an informant.

Ashanty completed her dissertation proposal exam in April 2025. She was declared passed with an A grade.

Taking the exam at Airlangga University Surabaya at 3:00 PM WIB, Ashanty admitted that she had to leave at dawn from Jakarta. After the exam, Ashanty cried tears of joy because of her success.

If we look back, Ashanty was accepted as a doctoral student at Unair in mid-2023. This means that Ashanty has now entered her 5th semester of studies.

Currently, Ashanty is focused on completing her dissertation. The next stage to be undertaken is the qualifying exam after she processes data from interviews with several artists.

Ashanty's struggle to work on her dissertation faces significant challenges as she has to deal with a case involving her former employee who is entangled in a fund embezzlement case.
