Attacked by Netizens for Allegedly Ordering Richard Lee's Arrest, Kartika Putri: Who Am I to Order the Police?

Kapanlagi.com - The name Kartika Putri is in the spotlight after Richard Lee was apprehended by the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Wednesday (8/11/2021). Netizens immediately attacked Kartika because her report allegedly led to the forced arrest of the beauty doctor and content creator.

As is known, Kartika reported Richard to the Jakarta Metropolitan Police in February. The reason was that the doctor urged public figures not to promote beauty products containing hydroquinone carelessly and indirectly mentioned his name.

Kartika herself claimed to have no knowledge of Richard's arrest. After investigating, it was revealed that Richard was arrested for alleged illegal access and theft of evidence.

"I am confused, shocked, and unaware of the arrest. I remained patient and finally received an explanation from the police. It turns out that he was forcibly arrested, but not because of me. The police made the report regarding illegal access and theft of evidence," said Kartika when met at her residence in Puncak, Bogor, West Java, on Friday evening (8/13/2021).

Kartika Putri was clearly surprised by the attacks from netizens. Some even accused her of ordering the arrest of Richard Lee.

"Suddenly, it became a big issue. I was bullied as if I instructed the police to arrest him. Who told the police to do that?" Kartika questioned.

Now that Richard Lee is required to report, Kartika Putri doesn't want to get too involved because it's no longer her domain. Although the reports are related, they are different.

"For me personally, I ask for this to be enough. I want my family to be calm, let the process proceed as it should. As for (Richard) reporting, I don't care. I have four children, I leave it to the lawyer," Kartika said.
