Aurelie Moeremans Writes a Book About Her Life Story, Groomed Since the Age of 15

In her book, Aurelie recounts how she became trapped in a manipulative relationship with a man who was much older. This relationship occurred when she was still very young (15 years old) with a man referred to as Bobby (a pseudonym), who was then 29 years old.

"This book is a true story about me. About how I was groomed at the age of 15 by someone who was almost twice my age," Aurelie stated in her post caption (03/01/2026).

The relationship that initially felt sweet gradually turned into emotional pressure and psychological control. At that time, Aurelie was still a teenager and did not have enough understanding to realize that she was being exploited.

The experience left a deep wound that she carried into adulthood. However, rather than choosing to be defeated, Aurelie turned her life story into a medium for healing. She refers to writing this book as a process of making peace with the past while also an effort to reclaim the voice that had been lost.

Since its release, Broken Strings has received widespread response from the public. Many readers, especially survivors of emotional violence and grooming, have expressed feeling represented and empowered by Aurelie's courage in sharing her story. This book is considered to open many people's eyes to the dangers of unhealthy relationships that often go unrecognized.

Nevertheless, this brave step did not go entirely smoothly. The pregnant woman revealed that she had received threats and slander after the book was published. However, she chose to remain steadfast, believing that her voice could help others avoid experiencing similar situations.

Through Broken Strings, Aurelie Moeremans not only shares her life story but also conveys an important message: that past wounds are not a shame. She hopes her story can serve as a reminder that protecting teenagers and raising awareness about grooming is very important.
