Aviwkila Withdraws Statement to Free Royalties for Songs Used by Anyone, Hindered by Law

Intending to do good by not taking royalties or fees for the play of their songs used for the business interests of MSME actors, it turns out that Aviwkila has encountered legal issues in Indonesia. Here is their clarification which ultimately withdraws their previous statement.

"Yes, because it turns out that it does not comply with the laws in this country," continued Uki Aviwkila. He explained that LMKM will still charge royalties to business places even though they, as song creators, have allowed it for free.

"Therefore, without any coercion from any party, we consciously withdraw our statement and stance a few days ago regarding the direct permission because it is obstructed by law," explained Thana Aviwkila.

Although both of their intentions are good, Aviwkila admits that if it does not comply with the applicable laws, then they cannot do much.

"We sincerely apologize, but we must convey that in the end, we have to withdraw the solution idea that we presented a few days ago," said Thana.

Greeting their fans and reminding them of their previous uploaded video, Thana and Uki finally apologized.

After making a statement about waiving fees and not collecting royalties for the use of their works for businesses, Aviwkila is now providing clarification.
