Kapanlagi.com - Report Nicholas Sean to the police for alleged defamation committed by celebrity Ayu Thalia is now in court. The first hearing was held at the North Jakarta District Court on Tuesday afternoon (10/5/2022).
Ayu arrived in the afternoon wearing a black outfit. Meanwhile, because of his busy schedule, Sean did not come and was only represented by one person from his legal team.

The first agenda of the trial is the reading of the indictment by the Public Prosecutor (JPU). It was revealed that Nicholas Sean objected to Ayu Thalia's Instagram Story post, her appearance on TV, and a statement quoted by several news sites in the capital.
After listening to the indictment, Ayu immediately communicated with her legal team. Until she finally decided to file an exception or objection because there was an accusation that did not match the facts.
"In the series of indictments read by the JPU, there are things that do not match the actual facts used as evidence, namely news from the press. Now the news evidence has also been taken down. This is what we regret, why it was taken to criminal, not the press council," said Pitra Romadhoni, Ayu's legal representative, after the trial.

In the news, it is written that Ayu Thalia fell several times. It is not explained whether she fell because she was pushed by Nicholas Sean, who is the eldest son of Basuki Tjahaja Purnama alias Ahok.
"If the media is free to provide news as long as it is based on the actual facts. That's why we denied it earlier, it's not true that she fell and got injured. But the truth is she was pushed," Pitra emphasized.

Furthermore, Pitra Romadhoni revealed confusion as to why the prosecutor used news in the indictment. If they do not agree with the news, they should meet with the press council.
"We are sure that the judges think and understand that press disputes or coverage should be resolved through the press council. If this is used as the main evidence, has both sides been covered? Have they communicated with the press council?" Pitra questioned.

Pitra Romadhoni will help Ayu Thalia investigate this case to the root. He has prepared many experts who may be needed to refute the allegations.
"We are filing an exception related to the indictment of the public prosecutor and we have prepared experts in criminal law, medicine, health, and language. We will test this later," Pitra concluded.
