Baim Alkatiri recounts the beginning of the change in attitude shown by his biological father, who no longer provides for him. This happened after his parents' divorce in 2017.
"So, at that time I came home from school and my brother said, 'Im, try to check WhatsApp.' Then I checked, and I was blocked," he said when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (11/9/2024) night.
One of the reasons Baim finally spoke out, leading to his story about his father going viral on social media, is the exhaustion of waiting. For the past two years, Baim feels that his father has not shown good faith in taking responsibility for funding his education.
"Why am I only speaking up now? Because for the past 2 years, I have been hoping he would come back to me, I have been hoping for some responsibility from him," said Baim.Â
Baim himself admitted that he still keeps many dark secrets about his father. However, the former child artist is still not willing to reveal everything at this time.
"Because there is something and I can't reveal everything because it really has to be step by step, even for me to bring this out took 2 years. Yes, I will definitely reveal everything in the near future," explained Baim.
Baim is still waiting for good intentions from his father, who is now said to be in Australia. If not, everything will be exposed by him.Â
"Until I felt like, wow, there’s no feedback at all from him, wow, there’s no responsibility at all from him, that’s when I started," Baim stated.Â
Baim himself emphasized that he no longer cares about the results of his hard work when he was still a child artist. All the money earned, estimated to be up to 32.4 billion, has been completely used up by his father.Â
"I no longer feel my money. I have no idea where the remaining assets went, and I can count them on my fingers, there are two left even though one has been sold, the one in Jakarta has two, one has been sold, there’s still one in Malang. The point is what I’m doing now, I’m starting from zero again," he concluded.
