Furthermore, he stated that the evidence and witness testimonies presented in the trial strengthen the judges' assessment of Paula's attitude and actions during her marriage to Baim.

"So, that consideration was not fabricated, but based on the facts presented in the trial," he continued.

The consequence of this nusyuz status led the judges to reject several of Paula's claims, including regarding post-divorce alimony that was previously filed in the lawsuit.

"What is clear is that several of the claims made were not granted by the judges because she is a nusyuz wife," Fahmi emphasized.

He stated that the position significantly affects Paula's legal rights, and it is a major factor in the assembly's consideration when delivering the verdict.

However, Fahmi emphasized that the legal process is not yet over. Both Baim and Paula have officially filed an appeal against the verdict.

"As long as it does not have permanent legal force, what we can still be held accountable for is the verdict dated April 16," he said.

Fahmi welcomed the appeal steps from both parties as a form of respect for the available legal avenues. "Yes, if people file legal actions, that is a right that we must respect and indeed that is the place for it," said Fahmi.

Now, the legal process has moved to the High Religious Court, and all the substance of the case, including the assessment of nusyuz, will be re-evaluated. "Everything will be re-examined at the appellate level. We will follow the process," concluded Fahmi.
