Kapanlagi.com - Paula Verhoeven denied the allegations of infidelity directed at her by Baim Wong. However, Fahmi Bachmid, Baim Wong's legal counsel, chose not to comment much on Paula's clarification. Fahmi emphasized that his party will provide an official response in the hearing scheduled for next Monday.
"Let's wait until then, the hearing is on Monday. On Monday, God willing, Baim will come with proposals. The party from the respondent will bring proposals. I am just helping you convey that information. Please come on Monday, we will see what the proposals are, and I will convey them," said Fahmi at the South Jakarta Police Station on Friday (25/10/2024).
Fahmi revealed that the lawsuit filed by Baim Wong against Paula has a strong basis and is not just an unfounded accusation. The rebuttal from Paula's side, according to Fahmi, is a normal thing. However, he mentioned that the evidence and witnesses are on his side.
"I am talking about the lawsuit, I am not talking about the legal subject. In the lawsuit, rebuttals and counterclaims are allowed," he said.
Furthermore, Fahmi explained that someone who feels innocent can freely provide a rebuttal.
"Understand? So if someone is sued, and they say, 'you are all liars,' that is allowed. It means they can say whatever they want. I have the evidence. I have the witnesses. I will present myself," he revealed.
Regarding Paula's rebuttal stating that the affair issue is untrue, Fahmi mentioned that in legal proceedings, each party has the right to defend themselves, including through rebuttals.
"I just laugh. For me, who knows the legal process, I just laugh if someone wants to rebut like that, that’s fine. Not to mention rebutting, counter-suing is allowed (too)," Fahmi concluded.
As is known, the divorce hearing between Baim and Paula will be held again on Monday, October 28, 2024. In the upcoming hearing, both parties will come to present their respective proposals regarding this divorce process.
