Beauty Doctor Richard Lee Undergoes Police Investigation Following Kartika Putri's Report

Kapanlagi.com - Beauty doctor Richard Lee, who is also active as a Youtuber, underwent an examination by the police at the Jakarta Metropolitan Police on Thursday (4/2/2020). He was examined for approximately four hours regarding a report from the representative of the artist Kartika Putri.

To the media, Richard admitted that he was confused as to why Kartika reported him. Even though the day before, he had met and apologized for something that was not specifically mentioning the artist.

"I met, talked, had a discussion, and was asked to apologize. I thought my intention was to educate, not to create problems with the artist, so I apologized for the impact. Maybe, because of me, it had an impact on her family. But it doesn't mean that what I conveyed was wrong. It's still important to choose the right words when conveying something, don't promote dangerous products," said Richard.

1. Apologize Up to Three Times

Richard Lee apologized to Kartika Putri three times hoping that the problem between them would be resolved. However, the next day he was reported for reasons that he did not understand.

"I apologize. Maybe it didn't work on her. I don't know what kind of apology she expected. Because I apologized three times in person. The second apology was understandable because there was still some anger, and the third apology was actually a prayer for her health. Well, I don't want to cause any more problems. But it turns out that I apologized on the 15th, and I was reported on the 16th (January)," said the bespectacled man.

2. Starting from the Appeal to Promote Beauty Products

Richard Lee's problem with Kartika Putri started when the doctor urged influencers and celebrities in the capital city not to promote beauty products containing hydroquinone because they are dangerous. Although it was not specifically directed at Kartika, the wife of Habib Usman Bin Yahya felt offended.

"Actually, what I appealed for was not just for those celebrities, but for all celebrities who promote fake products, who promote hydroquinone. I didn't target anyone in particular. She made an issue out of an insta story, even though it's a broad issue. All celebrities are being selectively targeted, as I said. But maybe it hurt her, we don't know," said the man who lives in Palembang.
