Singer Anggun is becoming more popular on the international stage. After being chosen as a judge on Asia's Got Talent and Mask Singer in France, now the Indonesian singer is also involved in a prestigious talent search event in Belgium, namely StarMaker. The talent search event is currently very popular in the UK.
Anggun explained that she is happy to be working in a new country. This 49-year-old woman mentioned that Belgium is a country she loves and this new program is adapted from a very popular format in the UK and will certainly be very interesting.
This is Anggun's latest record on the international stage. Anggun emphasizes that she does not want to be celebrated for her latest achievement. However, Anggun achieved this record because of the meaning given to her work.
"As you know, I am very careful and I don't like to emphasize the fact that I am the first Indonesian artist to do this or that in the world. What is important is to pave the way so that in the next few years, this will become a common thing," said Anggun.
On that occasion, Anggun conveyed that there are many musicians from Indonesia who are also very popular on the international stage.
"When I became the first Indonesian artist to perform at a famous festival in the world in 1999, during the Lilith Fair Tour in the United States, I hoped that the new generation would follow in my footsteps," said Anggun.
"Look now, the talented Niki is touring in the United States with tremendous success! That's what I'm proud of, opening doors. However, being pretentious is the opposite of my character," concluded Anggun.
Anggun's career in the international scene is beyond doubt. Not only singing, she also demonstrates her acting skills in the entertainment world of the United States.
