Before Jumping From the 8th Floor, Novi Amelia Apparently Sat on the Window Sill

Until now, this case is being further investigated by the police. The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of South Jakarta Police, AKBP Ridwan Soplanit, revealed the facts from the crime scene of Novi Amelia's suicide.

1. Sitting on the Window

From the testimony of a witness, namely the apartment security guard, Novi Amelia was seen sitting on the outer wall ledge of the eighth floor window. The picture was taken before Novi Amelia committed suicide.

"So I mentioned yesterday that the investigation process is still ongoing, so we still rely on witness testimony and crime scene investigation has been conducted, we will wait for the progress in the future," said AKBP Ridwan Soplanit.

"The reporting witness is the apartment security, they have some photo evidence, they took a picture when the victim sat on the outer side wall ledge of the 8th floor window before jumping. That is input for us, as evidence and leads," he continued.

2. Still Under Investigation

Furthermore, when asked further if there is any evidence of violence on Novi Amelia's body, AKBP Ridwa said that this case is still under investigation. He also emphasized that the investigation process will be carried out according to applicable procedures.

"Until now, we are still under investigation, even though there have been some suggestions from the lawyer's side, but we will conduct the investigation according to procedural," he said.

3. Family Confirms

South Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Commissioner Pol Budhi Herdi Susianto, provided information about the news. He confirmed the victim's identity based on the family's statement and the identification card found.

"That's the information from the family. So, the identities we found are Linda Astuti and her alias, Novi Amalia," said Commissioner Budhi Herdi Susianto when contacted by KapanLagi.

4. Chronology

Commissioner Pol Budhi Herdi Susianto explained the chronology of the death of the model from Medan, North Sumatra. Based on preliminary investigations, Budhi said that Novi Amelia fell from the eighth floor of her residence.

"After the dawn prayer (she fell) from the 8th floor, Raflesia (Kalibata City Apartment)," he revealed.

5. Crashing into a Car

"Then it fell, hitting the car parked below it, then fell to the floor in a supine position," he concluded.
