Billy Syahputra is one of the friends who feels a deep loss over the passing of Mpok Alpa. Unlike Iis Dahlia, Billy admitted that he only learned about Mpok Alpa's health condition a few months before she passed away.

The younger brother of the late Olga Syahputra recounted the unexpected moment when he first saw Mpok Alpa's true condition. The meeting took place when Mpok Alpa replaced Anwar Sanjaya on one of the television programs she starred in.

"If maybe mama (Iis Dahlia) knew earlier, I just found out a few months ago. It was during the filming of my show, my show was with Anwar, and Anwar happened to be absent, so Mpok Alpa replaced him. Mpok Alpa replaced Anwar several times," said Billy when met in the Tendean area of South Jakarta on Monday (18/8/2025).

In the car, after finishing the shoot, Mpok Alpa, who is known to be very close to him, suddenly shared everything. The moment happened after Mpok Alpa's husband rubbed Billy's back as he was feeling unwell.

"During that first meeting, Mpok Alpa immediately said in the car, usually Mpok Alpa hugs me and kisses me when we meet, and I was also feeling unwell, being rubbed by her husband, Mpok Alpa just started to share," he explained.

According to Billy, Mpok Alpa is a very open person and has always shared everything with him since they first met. However, this story really surprised him.

"She's the type who shares everything, from the moment she entered the entertainment industry, she was already close, she came over to my house and we talked until 2 AM, 3 AM, and then a few months ago," he said.

"The first time I knew she was sick, she immediately took off her wig, I'm sorry, I have to be honest, the news is already out, right, that Mpok is sick with cancer. She took off her wig, her head was bald," she continued.

Seeing Mpok Alpa's bald head, Billy was shocked and immediately asked what happened. It was then that Mpok Alpa admitted that only a handful of people, including Billy, Raffi Ahmad, and Irfan Hakim, knew about her condition.

"I was shocked. 'Oh God, Mpok, why Mpok?' 'Yes, brother Billy, only brother Billy, brother Irfan, and brother Raffi know,' she said like that. Then, I asked what kind of illness, Mpok? 'Cancer after chemotherapy, brother Billy,'" said Billy.

Although he was struck by the news, Billy could only offer his prayers and best wishes for his friend's recovery. After that moment, he saw Mpok Alpa continue to work professionally as if she did not feel any pain.

"Oh God, well, Mpok, just stay healthy. Yes, just pray for Bang Billy. Alright, just pray. Then, until the end, filming was just like usual. It seemed like Mpok didn’t feel any pain at all when I saw her," he concluded.
