Fortunately, Solmed prioritized April by not accepting the offer. His reason was simply because he wanted to fight alongside his wife no matter what the circumstances.

1. Difficult to Have Children

The reason April Jasmine asked Ustaz Solmed to remarry was because at that time she couldn't give birth. By remarrying, April hopes that her husband can experience being a father.

"At that time, April had difficulty having children for one and a half years of our marriage. April always said, 'You should practice polygamy, find another wife so that we can have children.' That's because she felt sorry for me," said Ustaz Solmed when met in the Kapten Tendean area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (2/6/2020).

2. Dream of Death

The request for her husband to practice polygamy came the second time several years after Ustaz Solmed and April were blessed with a child. The reason was because April had three dreams of dying. So she gave permission for her husband to remarry so that there would be someone to take care of the children.

"The second time, I often traveled out of town, and April dreamed of being shrouded and dying. Because it happened repeatedly, she said, 'Dear, if I die because this dream keeps coming, I entrust to you whatever I have to contribute to the mosque, pesantren, orphans, and so on. Then you can remarry and find a beautiful, pious woman who can memorize the Quran so that she can take care of the children until we meet again in heaven,'" said the famous preacher.

3. Struggling Together

Although given the opportunity to practice polygamy twice, Ustaz Solmed rejected it. Because he didn't want to betray April Jasmine's patience and didn't want to betray his wife.

"He kept offering. But it's impossible for me to leave her in that condition, to have another wife while she is struggling to have a child with me. I have to support her, give her encouragement 'I will stay with you and we will struggle together'," said Soleh Mahmud, the owner of the full name.

"The more she is like this, patient with me, the more I will take care of her. As a human being, there will always be tests, but she always accompanies me, patiently enduring any situation I am in. Hopefully, this will become the glue that holds us together," he added.
