Cerelia Raissa's Past Story, Always Drinking Alcohol After Breaking Fast

Kapanlagi.com - FTV artist, Cerelia Raissa made a surprising confession about her past. The girl who started her career in the entertainment world since 2006 had experienced depression, attempted suicide, became an alcoholic, before finally deciding to embrace Islam.

It is known that Cerelia has also firmly worn a hijab to cover her head. To the media, she shared the beginning of her hijrah process.

"Actually, I started my hijrah in April. At first, it was just because I wanted to stop drinking alcohol, then suddenly I was whispered to when it was 40 days before fasting, so I stopped drinking because I love fasting," Cerelia recalled when met in the Senopati area, South Jakarta, on Sunday (12/1).

1. Drinking Alcohol After Breaking the Fast

In previous years, Cerelia actually still observed fasting. However, after breaking the fast, she never missed drinking alcohol, which is prohibited in Islamic law.

"In previous years, every time I broke my fast, I would drink tea, takjil, and then alcohol. So, I became an alcoholic," she added briefly.

2. Once Again Taking Off the Hijab

Cerelia herself once took off the hijab that she had been wearing. It wasn't because of a reason, at that time her faith was still strong, plus there was a heavy test, where she didn't get any job offers at all.

"During Eid, I usually buy hijab and Muslim clothes, and it turns out that after wearing them, I feel comfortable and finally converted. But it happened too quickly because there was no guidance, so I made a mistake in my conversion, and then I was tested for 3 months with no job. I am also the backbone of the family, I have to fulfill the needs of the whole family, and it's not enough for daily life. Finally, I took off the hijab again, shooting until October," Cerelia recalled.

"I saw a meme on Instagram that basically said, if you want to repent but not tomorrow, what if you die now? After that, I attended a study session and listened to the promises of Allah. If you convert but remain steadfast, Insha Allah, Allah's promise will happen, it will exist. In short, I have converted, it's better to be a beggar than not to be a true Muslim," she concluded.
