Kapanlagi.com - CGV Cinemas network is back in operation starting from today (16/9/2021). The regulations for people who want to watch movies are stricter than before in order to prevent the spread of the Corona virus.
In addition to urging the implementation of health protocols, what's different this time is the use of the PeduliLindungi application before entering the cinema area. The status on the application must be green, which means that the person has received two doses of vaccination.
"To minimize the spread, we urge the public to prepare vaccination certificates or the PeduliLindungi application. Although the mall management has surely conducted checks, we will recheck before entering the cinema area," said Marsya Gusman, the public relations and corporate communication of CGV Cinemas, as interviewed by KapanLagi.com on Thursday (16/9/2021).
For now, children under 12 years old who have not been vaccinated are prohibited from entering the cinema area. "The audience must be twelve years old or above and have received two doses of vaccination," she added.
The films shown during the first week of the reopening of CGV Cinemas are BLACK WIDOW, FAST & FURIOUS 9, THE SUICIDE SQUAD, HARD HIT, and ESCAPE FROM MOGADISHU. According to Marsya Gusman, the highest ticket sales were for BLACK WIDOW and FAST & FURIOUS 9, which had been eagerly anticipated for their screenings.
"The most tickets sold out were for BLACK WIDOW. Also FAST & FURIOUS 9 because many people missed watching them due to the PPKM," said Marsya.
As for the Indonesian film titles that will be released, Marsya couldn't provide more details yet. However, she hopes that there will be local titles shown in the near future.
"During the PPKM, they produced film titles to be shown. Hopefully, there will be many Indonesian films that can be shown again soon. But for now, we are showing existing films (Hollywood and Asian)," she concluded.
