Just Like the Real Thing, Actor Playing Serial Killer in 'MINDHUNTER' Captivates Audience!

But, the original Netflix series, MINDHUNTER successfully captivates its audience because of the resemblance between the actors and the real people. MINDHUNTER is a series directed by David Fincher that tells the story of three FBI agents, Holden Ford, Bill Tench, and Wendy Carr, who are part of the Behavioral Science Unit in investigating and studying the motives of American serial killers through their behavior and exclusive interviews.

1. Cameron Britton vs Edmund Kemper

For fans of true crime, they must be familiar with serial killer Ed Kemper. Ed is responsible for the murder of 10 people, including his grandmother and mother. Not to mention, he had necrophilia tendencies or a liking for having sex with corpses. Ed is known as an intelligent killer who can understand the thoughts of other people, making it difficult for the police to catch him.

In the series, Ed is portrayed by Cameron Britton. The details of his mustache, chubby body, and glasses depict the uniqueness of Ed. It seems that the MINDHUNTER team also did research on Ed's way of speaking, making it difficult to distinguish between the actor and the real person in the series when they start dialogues. Ed's character seems to have become a part of Cameron's body.

2. Damon Herriman vs Charles Manson

Have you ever heard the song Cease To Exist? Yes, that song was written and sung by Charles Manson himself. Manson was a cold-blooded killer who indirectly responsible for the deaths of his cult members, the “Manson Family”. Although there is no solid evidence to support this allegation, Manson must still be imprisoned. He was the leader of a sect with 100 followers. He often influenced his followers to commit suicide with the help of LSD drugs. 

MINDHUNTER seems to have hit the jackpot by choosing Herriman as Manson. Just look at all of Manson's mannerisms deeply rooted in Herriman's body. In the series, during interviews with Tench and Ford, Herriman deeply embodies Manson's known mischievous and impolite character. Also, his straightforward and intelligent way of speaking.

3. Sonny Valicenti vs BTK Killer (alias Dennis Rader)

Rader indeed appeared as a normal person living a good life. However, who would have thought that this middle-aged man is a serial killer with a tendency for sexually violent fantasies involving bondage. He brutally murdered a family with two children in 1974. BTK, short for "Bind them, Torture them, Kill them", is the nickname given by Rader himself. Creepy, isn't it? Despite having less screen time than other actors, this actor successfully intrigued fans of MINDHUNTER. Valicenti's performance, with almost identical appearance, captivated the audience. BTK is rumored to appear in the third season of the MINDHUNTER series. Let's wait and see what Sonny Valicenti will bring. MINDHUNTER is perhaps one of the Netflix series that focuses on serial killers. However, this one is special because of its detailed events and excellent analytical abilities.
