According to Ashanty's account, the house was almost bought by a husband and wife from Jember. Without bargaining, they were even willing to pay Rp 35 billion in cash.

"Nowadays there are so many scams and various modus operandi. Coincidentally, I was selling the house for 6 months and suddenly a husband and wife came and wanted to pay for our house without bargaining, and they even paid all the taxes. They claimed to be descendants of Malaysia from Jember," wrote Ashanty, as quoted from her Instagram, a few minutes ago.

1. Anang Already Suspected

Unlike Ashanty who welcomed them warmly, Anang already felt suspicious of the married couple. Especially since they asked for the land certificate before paying the down payment for the house.

Ashanty was almost deceived. She admitted being influenced by the news about 'Sultan Jember' in several media outlets, which contributed up to Rp 200 billion through PMI Jember.

"They insisted on asking for the house certificate and I was about to give it. We even made an agreement in front of a notary, I was so sure that I had looked for another house. I even made a down payment for another place for us to move so that we could start moving because we have a lot of belongings and children, and it would be troublesome if it's sudden," continued Ashanty.

Fortunately, Anang refused to hand over the land certificate to the prospective buyers. The ex-husband of Krisdayanti instead continued to insist that the married couple pay the down payment first.

"Fortunately, Mr. Anang held back because he wasn't really willing to sell the house. So he held back until they paid the down payment," revealed Ashanty.
