Chronology of Ririn Ekawati's Mother's Death Due to Covid-19, Had a Video Call While in the ICU

Kapanlagi.com - Grief envelops the extended family of Ririn Ekawati and Rini Yulianti. On Wednesday (02/12), their mother, Samsidar Zaid Moga, passed away at the age of 62.

Ririn revealed the chronology of her beloved mother's passing. It turns out that before being admitted to the hospital, her mother had already suffered from high cholesterol and diabetes.

"So, at exactly 11:12 AM, my mother passed away. She had been sick since yesterday. She had been sick with diabetes and high cholesterol since Palu, Central Sulawesi until Jakarta. It turned out that during her time in Palu, she already had diabetes and high cholesterol," said Ririn Ekawati, when met at her residence in Bendungan Hilir, Central Jakarta, on Wednesday (2/12).

1. Positive Covid-19

Upon arriving in Jakarta, Ririn felt worried because her mother had a prolonged high fever. After undergoing a test, it turns out her mother was diagnosed with Covid-19.

"When we arrived here, the fever persisted, one day with a fever, the next day she was taken to the hospital, turns out she has Covid," she explained.

"My mother already has a stroke and also has cholesterol and diabetes. She already has pre-existing conditions, but after arriving in Jakarta, she had a fever one night, so I was a bit worried and had her checked by a doctor, turns out she has Covid," Ririn Ekawati continued.

2. Ririn Ekawati Also Undergoes Swab Test

Knowing that her mother has Covid-19, Ririn Ekawati immediately had her family undergo mass testing. Fortunately, they all tested negative for Covid-19.

"But, Alhamdulillah, all of us at home have undergone swab tests and tested negative," she said.

3. There's a Premonition When Making a Video Call

During her mother's treatment at the hospital, Ririn never expected that the person she loved would pass away so soon. However, she had a premonition when her mother made a video call with her in the ICU room.

"I never thought that Mama's illness would progress this quickly (to her passing). But yesterday, during the video call before entering the ICU room, I already felt it," Ririn explained.

"After her passing, she was immediately buried in West Jakarta at 3:00 PM Western Indonesian Time," she added.

4. Last Message from Ririn Ekawati's Mother

Furthermore, Ririn also revealed the last message left by her mother. According to her, her mother only wanted all of her children to be happy and harmonious until the end of their lives.

"She wants all of us to be well, stay united, and wants all of us to be happy, no matter what happens, we should always be happy together," she concluded.
