Cinta Laura Reveals Reasons for Choosing to Stay Single: Doesn't Need a Man to Be Happy

Amid her busy schedule as an artist and activist, Cinta Laura is still comfortable with her single status. She claims to never feel burdened by questions about finding a partner, and even has a strong principle regarding romantic relationships.

"Yes, I feel that women don’t need men to feel complete. I am happy with myself," said Cinta Laura when met in South Jakarta, Tuesday (3/6/2025).

Love emphasizes that she is not anti-love or relationships, but her main priority right now is her career and her contribution to the social issues she advocates for. She does not want to rush into a relationship just because of external pressure."For me, a relationship should be built on a strong foundation, not out of fear of being alone or because of age," she said.

According to her, many women feel rushed to marry due to social norms, even though they may not be emotionally or financially ready. Love wants to be an example that women can choose their own life paths.

"Women have the right to determine when and with whom they want to have a relationship. That is not something that should be forced," she asserted.

Even so, Cinta remains open to the possibility of meeting a man who can appreciate her vision and mission. However, for her, having a partner is not a primary need in life. "If someday I meet someone who is on the same wavelength, who can support each other and grow together, then why not. But I don't feel that it has to happen right now," she said.

She also emphasizes that true happiness comes from within oneself, not from relationship status or external validation."Many people think that love from others can heal wounds, but in reality, the first thing we need to embrace is ourselves," she added.

Cinta even mentioned that she has been accustomed to being independent and focusing on building her identity since long ago. She feels that her success today is the result of brave and conscious decisions."Since I was little, I have been trained to stand on my own. So I know how to make myself happy without depending on others," she said.

Cinta Laura wants to convey a message to young women that there is nothing wrong with being single. In fact, it can be the best moment to get to know yourself and pursue your dreams."I want women to know that they are powerful. Status is not everything. What matters is that we know what our life goals are," concluded Cinta.
