Amid her busy schedule as an artist and activist, Cinta Laura is still comfortable with her single status. She claims to have never felt burdened by questions about finding a partner and has a strong principle regarding romantic relationships.
"Yes, I feel that women don’t need a man to feel complete. I am happy with myself," said Cinta Laura when met in South Jakarta on Tuesday (3/6/2025).
Cinta emphasizes that she is not against love or relationships, but her main priority right now is her career and her contributions to the social issues she advocates for. She does not want to rush into a relationship just because of external pressure."For me, a relationship should be built on a strong foundation, not out of fear of being alone or because of age," she said.
According to her, many women feel rushed to get married because of social norms, even though they may not be ready emotionally or financially. Cinta wants to be an example that women can choose their own life paths.
"Women have the right to decide when and with whom they want to enter into a relationship. It is not something that should be forced," she asserted.
Even so, Cinta remains open if someday she meets a man who can appreciate her vision and mission. However, for her, having a partner is not a primary need in life. "If someday I meet someone on the same wavelength, who can support and grow together, then why not. But I don’t feel that it has to happen right now," she said.
She also emphasizes that true happiness comes from within oneself, not from relationship status or external validation."Many people think that love from others can heal wounds, but in fact, the first thing we need to embrace is ourselves," she added.
Cinta even mentioned that she has been used to being independent and focused on building her identity since she was young. She feels that her success today is the result of brave and conscious decisions."Yes, since I was little I have been accustomed to standing on my own. So I know how to make myself happy without depending on others," she said.
Cinta Laura wants to convey a message to young women that there is nothing wrong with being single. In fact, it can be the best moment to get to know oneself and pursue dreams."I want women to know that they are powerful. Status is not everything. What matters is that we know what our life goals are," Cinta concluded.
