Claiming to be an Introvert, Carissa Perusset Turns Out to be Uncomfortable Acting

"Yes, so when I was filming, I didn't like it, not really, not comfortable in front of this camera, it's just so awkward because I'm really introverted," said Carissa Perusset when met at Senayan City, Central Jakarta, on Thursday (23/1).

1. More Comfortable Behind the Scenes

The 21-year-old actress admits that she is more comfortable behind the scenes, for example, by writing scripts or books. Because she feels she can be herself. Currently, Carissa Perusset is busy working on a project behind the scenes.

"Actually, I like working in front of the laptop. When writing a script, it's a personal thing for me. So now, my time is for studying and this new project, there's a book, and an indie film for a film festival, I'm directing and writing," said Jerome Kurnia's girlfriend.

"I feel more comfortable behind the scenes, because I'm quite introverted. So when shooting, I feel insecure. But when writing, I can be myself, I can explore. I prefer and am more interested in being behind the scenes," she continued.

2. Still Want to Learn Acting

However, it doesn't mean that he doesn't want to act anymore. He also has a desire to learn acting to become even better. But for now, he is more comfortable behind the screen.

"But I do want to learn to act better. I see my films and think, oh, there's so much room for improvement and I'm not that good yet. Even if I was really good, there are people who say it's bad. But right now, I'm just not that interested in acting," he concluded.
