As it turns out, Bona and Abdul have been friends for a long time. They have always had a hidden plan to collaborate, but it could only be realized now.

"Initially, I shared on Instagram that I wanted to make a solo song and asked who wanted to duet with me. There were many responses from friends, including Abdul. Abdul and I have been friends for a long time, and we have always wanted to create something together. Finally, now we can collaborate on a song," said Bona in a press release received by KapanLagi.com.

Initially, Bona admitted that he wrote the song Tetap Setia just for fun because he was missing music. But after the lyrics were combined with the arrangement made by his good friend, Michael Nahem, the song became so ear-catching. It was proven that shortly after its release, Tetap Setia became one of the viral songs in Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong.

"I did release the song Tetap Setia in JSJ Taiwan, which is one of the companies in the music entertainment industry. They also have a digital platform and I got the opportunity to do a press release there, got media coverage, and then they blew up the song and entered several charts. I didn't expect it, the response was amazing," said the man born in Sorong.

The song Tetap Setia has now entered Xiaomi Music and reached the top position on JOOX Hong Kong. This is certainly an extraordinary achievement for the Indonesian musician, especially Bona herself who has just made a comeback.

"We made the lyrics and music as comfortable as possible, so it's enjoyable to listen to. The song also tells a story of love that is experienced by many in society. Maybe not only in Indonesia, but also abroad, people experience heartbreak when they are in love," said Bona.

The recording process itself was said to be full of challenges. As it is known, Tetap Setia was written during the Covid-19 pandemic. Bona hopes that her song can be a comforting remedy for the public who are facing this pandemic together.
