Comedian Dede Sunandar Reveals Inappropriate Treatment from the Wife of a Famous Artist, Once Insulted: I Couldn't Handle It, I Cried

The name Dede Sunandar is increasingly known to the public because of his hard work as a comedian in the country. He has appeared in various TV shows, such as Opera Van Java (2010-2013), Dahsyat (2014), Ini Talkshow (2017-2019), Uang Kaget Lagi (2021), and many others.

Recently, he appeared on Ayu Ting Ting's podcast 'Qiss You TV' to discuss their long-standing friendship. Unexpectedly, Dede also shared his bitter experience of being mocked by the late wife of a famous artist when he used to work as a cleaning service.

1. Insulted Harshly

Dede Sunandar turned out to initially work as a cleaning service in the area of Wisma Mampang, one of the TV stations. He admitted to Ayu Ting Ting that he had been scolded by someone because of a problem with the smell of cat feces.

“The problem is trivial, it's about cat feces. (The smell) spread in the studio, in the place where he scolded me. I'm a staff, I cleaned it up. I used wipol. Finally, I was cursed, insulted,” Dede Sunandar complained.

2. Revealing Discontent

Dede Sunandar never expected to be treated inappropriately like that. Although only working as a cleaner, he still has self-esteem that cannot be diminished by anyone.

He said, “I said this, 'Ma'am, if I were smart, I would definitely have a better job than this. Because my highest education is only junior high school and I haven't even reached package C, this is my job. My parents never called me stupid, crazy, and so on. I'm not accepting it, Ma'am.' Dede continued. After that, I couldn't take it, I left and cried. I took my bag and went home. I wanted to resign.”

3. Reunited

After a few years, Dede Sunandar met again with someone who used to scold him.

“After that, I met the artist and his mother. He was surprised. ‘Sir, I apologize for last year’s incident’. ‘Oh, it's alright, ma'am’. That's what I said,” he said.

“Then I said, ‘But you shouldn't belittle anyone, no matter what their job is. If you're asked for help and you can do it, if it smells bad, then apologize. If you have any difficulties now, I'm still ready to help. ‘Oh no, sir, you're really kind’. Then Dede offered a drink. Even though someone was mean to Dede, Dede must not be mean, we must be kind,” added Dede Sunandar graciously.
