Confession of a Friend, Visited by Glenn Fredly Wearing All White Clothes in a Dream

Kapanlagi.com - It has been a week since Glenn Fredly left us. He passed away on April 8, 2020, at the age of 44 due to meningitis.

Although a week has passed, the grave of this Ambon-born singer is still filled with flowers. Many pilgrims come to pray for Glenn directly at his burial place, TPU Tanah Kusir, Jakarta.

One of them is Glenn's friend named Mario Lasut. He visited Glenn's grave and met with the Cumicumi.com team, who then recorded a video of him scattering flowers.

1. Found in a Dream

After scattering flowers, Mario tells why he came to his friend's grave. He admitted that this is his way of honoring his friend.

Mario also admitted that he was just visited by Glenn Fredly in a dream. In his dream, Glenn appeared wearing all white clothes and didn't forget to wear a hat.

"He met me in a dream and asked me, 'how are you doing'. I was surprised. Even when he left, he still asked about my well-being. He wore white clothes, white pants, white shoes, with his signature hat on his head, just like Glenn Fredly who never took off his hat," said Mario Lasut.

2. Glenn is a Hero

Not just a friend, Glenn is a hero in Mario's eyes. He has millions of unforgettable memories with the late Glenn.

"And in just one word, you are the best friend I have ever had. It was so sudden that Glenn Fredly left all of us. He is a hero of Indonesian music. He cares a lot about the progress of Indonesian music. He cares a lot about Indonesian musicians. He fights a lot for the justice of Indonesian musicians. He is a great musician," he said.

Mario also admired Glenn's attitude of always concealing his pain from his friends and family. Personally, he didn't know that Glenn was sick.

However, Mario had suspected when Glenn made a video call on his birthday. "I was surprised to see him looking very thin. I asked, are you okay. He said 'I'm good'," said Mario.

4. Glenn's Dream Come True

Mario also hopes that Mutia Ayu can be strong in facing this tragedy. In his eyes, marrying Mutia was the happiest moment in Glenn Fredly's life.

Especially with the presence of Gewa, which Glenn had long awaited. "One of his dreams was to become a father. Hopefully, Mutia can be strong," said Mario.
