Confession of Dul Jaelani, Mischievous in School and Once Failed a Grade

Kapanlagi.com - Currently, Al Ghazali and El Rumi are focusing on their education. Both of them choose to continue their studies in London, England. Meanwhile, their younger brother, Dul Jaelani, chooses a different path, where he wants to focus on his career in the music industry.

Dul openly admitted that he is not yet interested in going to college. Instead, the 19-year-old man diligently reads books to sharpen his mind.

"But not going to college has its risks, because when I was in high school, I used to read a lot, so my mind was sharpened. If now I don't go to college, I'm afraid it will become dull. In my opinion, it's better to get knowledge from reading. At home, I spend at least 1-2 hours reading books, whether it's novels or poetry, if not, the next day it's philosophy," said Dul when met at the Kapanlagi Youniverse office, Central Jakarta, on Monday afternoon (20/1).

1. Inspiration for Song Lyrics

In addition to sharpening the brain and expanding knowledge, Dul also often finds inspiration for song lyrics from the books he reads. It's no wonder that the youngest son of Maia Estianty is so skilled at writing romantic lyrics in each of his works.

"The risk of not going to college is that you have to read a lot. Sometimes when I find a book I like, like now I'm enjoying reading Romeo and Juliet. Well, when I find a book I like, it's like having my own world. Plus, the words from the book are great for making into song lyrics," continued Dul.

2. Ever Failed a Grade

Since childhood, Dul has always been less interested in the world of education. In fact, the singer of the song Cakrawala once failed a grade because he was naughty and often skipped class.

"Naughty. I was so naughty that I even failed a grade, especially when hanging out with senior musicians. Now, my high school friends have all lost contact, they prefer to hang out with older people, so their style becomes more mature," he concluded.
