Involved in 'CRAZY TEACHERS', Dian Sastro Speaks Out About Female Producers in the Film World

Kapanlagi.com - Through the film CRAZY TEACHERS, Dian Sastrowardoyo is expanding her horizons as a producer. Yup, in that project, the actress chose to work behind the scenes and try new experiences.

However, Dian admits that she still accepts jobs as an actress. In fact, she reveals that there are still many things that have not been achieved as an actor.

"If I become an actor, there are still many genres that I haven't tried, thriller, horror. I'm quite willing to find something suitable. Is there a suitable film, or should I just produce it myself. I want to try, I don't limit myself. Comedy, action, drama, anything as long as I find a story that I like," said Dian when met at the Press Conference for the official trailer of the film 'CRAZY TEACHERS' at XXI Plaza Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (21/1).

1. Female Producers Question

This is indeed the first time Dian has become a producer in a film. She then spoke up about female producers or behind-the-scenes workers in the film industry.

"With the many female producers, directors, and writers, the film industry should be very unique because stories that were previously only told by male filmmakers can now be told from a unique perspective, which can only be told by women. The hope is that there will be more stories that provide a unique perspective," she said.

2. Unique Perspective

Dian explained that the film industry now welcomes women to become producers. She also hopes that there will be more female directors with their best works.

"Fortunately, it's getting better here. There are more female perspectives. There are already many female producers, like Mbak Miles, Shanty. Actually, what's lacking are female directors. I actually want to encourage friends who want to become female directors, let's try it," Dian invited.

"Don't be afraid to try. I just tried it now, and sometimes, if we dare to try, we can only learn and the learning process is a healthy process. We can't be great right away. The important thing is to try first, dare to try," she concluded.
